The English College in Dubai, part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), has officially opened its new purpose-built STEAM Centre, a vibrant new home for curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning. Bringing together Robotics, Graphics, Media and Design Technology in one inspiring space, the Centre has been designed to help students explore ideas, test solutions and build the confidence to turn imagination into real world outcomes.A New STEAM Education Hub in DubaiThe opening was a proud moment for our whole community, as we welcomed Her Excellency Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Government of Dubai, alongside other KHDA officials, colleagues from ISP and our families, students and staff.The event included a ribbon cutting ceremony, speeches, student performances and a tour of key learning facilities. In a meaningful celebration of the future, students also sealed a time capsule to be opened in 2032, sharing their thoughts on what technology might look like in years to come.Supporting Future Skills Through STEAM LearningDesigned to support collaboration across subjects and age groups, the STEAM Centre strengthens essential capabilities including design thinking, digital literacy, critical reasoning, teamwork and adaptability.
